HiPP fellows and their actions for biodiversity

Young HiPP fellows regularly participate in campaigns for the protection of biodiversity. Under the guidance of the HiPP sustainability coordinator, and with the scientific support of the NGOs, they get involved with nature and put into practice personal actions for the preservation of biodiversity, such as planting trees and creating amphibian ponds.

Against the use of genetic engineering in plants

HiPP is actively against green genetic engineering and supports schools that teach young people about the risks of agricultural chemistry.

The balance between nature and species is a highly complex system with its own rules. For HiPP it is very important to stop the spread of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), which are dangerous at all levels. That is why HiPP actively supports the school project "Life out of control", with which the Bayrischer Lehrerverband eV, the Federation for Environmental Conservation in Bavaria (BN) and the German Federation for Environmental Conservation and Nature (for its acronym in German, BUND) want to educate children in schools about the dangerous effects of genetic engineering on agriculture. HiPP is held responsible for preventing the extreme reduction of species and races that occurs as a result of genetic engineering, and the resulting dramatic consequences for biodiversity. This is the basis of all life and, therefore, also of the future of our children on the planet.
