Rainforests and forests are vital stores of CO₂ for humans. To protect them from deforestation, HiPP only uses paper and packaging materials from recycled paper or FSC certified products.

The responsible management of nature also implies the constant use of recycled paper and numerous measures to reduce its use in the administration.

HiPP was awarded first place in the "Office and Environment" competition of the German Federal Working Group for Environmentally Conscious Management (B.A.U.M.), in the category "Companies with more than 500 employees". Special attention was paid to the exclusive use of recycled paper, as well as to measures for the primary reduction of the use of paper by digital measures (electronic filing, electronic invoicing, information exchange via intranet, double-sided printing, etc.).
