Breastfeeding

When and how often should my baby drink milk...?

Whenever your baby is hungry, offer to breastfeed. Your baby will drink until he is full and as the days go by his milk intake will become regular. If his appetite increases, he will drink more often. This will stimulate milk production to meet your baby's "demand", so the time to breastfeed will be longer.

Is my baby drinking enough milk?

The amount of milk your baby drinks will vary from one serving to another. If you change your baby's diaper four to five times a day, your baby is getting enough milk. You can also weigh your child on a scale once a week and check his weight with your pediatrician.
