The main difference between the two formulas is that the "Stage 1" formula contains only lactose, similar to breast milk, and the "Stage 1 with Starch" formula also contains lactose but starch is added. It is easy to digest, gluten-free, which makes the formula more creamy. Babies can digest starch from birth.
